The MAMA Art Gallery was a major redevelopment of the heritage listed building. We worked with the architect from the initial design to determine which product is best suited to achieved the desired energy rating. The thermally broken aluminium with a Double Glazed unit incorporating comfort plus was the best fit. Art Galleries need a stable air environment, the use of the above products with a clever design achieved a light filled environment. The curved wall feature, added a sculptural presence to the space and refined finishes of concrete polished floors and alucobond achieved a minimum design. The 150mm thermal section allowed larger walls of glass. The two main buildings are linked with a glass roof which is approx 2.5 meter wide by 25 meters long.
